Welcome to DoorDecor. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of doordecor.app and our services (the “Service”), operated by [Legal Business Name](“DoorDecor,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. What DoorDecor is
DoorDecor is an online marketplacethat connects independent makers (“Sellers”) with shoppers (“Buyers”). We provide the platform, storefront, cart, and payment processing. We are not the maker or seller of the items listed, do not take ownership of them, and are not a party to the sales contract between a Buyer and a Seller. Sellers are solely responsible for their listings, products, fulfillment, and customer service.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use the Service.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your password secure.
- You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
3. Buying on DoorDecor
When you place an order, you agree to pay the listed price plus any applicable shipping and taxes. Payments are processed by Stripe; by checking out you also agree to Stripe’s terms. Your contract for the item is with the Seller, not DoorDecor. Many items are handmade or made-to-order — review the listing for timelines.
4. Selling on DoorDecor
- You may only list items you have the right to sell and that comply with applicable law.
- Your listings must be accurate and not misleading. You are responsible for descriptions, pricing, photos, shipping, and fulfillment.
- To receive payouts you must connect a Stripe account and complete its onboarding and identity verification. Payouts are handled by Stripe.
- DoorDecor charges a 10% marketplace fee on each sale, deducted from your payout. Stripe processing fees may also apply.
5. Content & license
You retain ownership of the content you submit (listings, photos, shop info). You grant DoorDecor a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and promote that content for the purpose of operating and marketing the Service. You represent that you have the rights to the content you upload.
6. Prohibited conduct
- No illegal, counterfeit, stolen, hazardous, or infringing items.
- No fraud, fee circumvention, or manipulation of reviews or the marketplace.
- No uploading of malware, scraping, or attempts to disrupt or breach the Service.
- No harassment, hate, or unlawful content.
We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. DoorDecor does not warrant the quality, safety, or legality of items listed by Sellers, the accuracy of listings, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DoorDecor will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for disputes between Buyers and Sellers. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the fees we earned on the relevant transaction or [USD 100].
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect the Service or its users.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date; continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
